Spicy Asian Party Mix
2 cups rice cracker mix
1/4 cup peanuts
2 cups 1/2-inch wide Crispy Chinese Chow Mein Noodles
1 cup 1/8-inch crispy Chow Mein noodles
1 cup tiny pretzel twists
1 cup plantain chips
1 cup whole wheat Chex cereal
1/4 cup soy nuts
1 cup wasabi peas
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon lite soy sauce
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon ginger powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
- Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Coat a baking sheet with cooking spray.
- Combine the butter, sugar, soy sauce, cumin, garlic powder, ginger powder, salt and cayenne in saucepan. Cook over medium heat until the butter just melts.
- Mix together the rice crackers, peanuts, thin and thick Chow Mein noodles, pretzels, plantain chips, Chex, soy nuts, and wasabi peas. Toss thoroughly with the sauce.
- Spread the mixture out on a baking sheet and cook, tossing once or twice, for 45 minutes, or until crisp and dry.
